Susan McGee Bailey, Ph.D. traveled to China in early November, 2005 to speak on feminist issues in education at The Center for the Study of Women’s Issues at Peking University. This center offers courses on women’s studies, trains master’s degree students majoring in women’s studies, undertakes research on theory and practice of women’s studies, and sets up exchanges and cooperation with other women’s groups both at home and abroad. Bailey then traveled to Hong Kong where she presented “Educating Girls and Boys: Similarities and Differences,” at the Chinese International School. Before returning home, Bailey met with faculty interested in gender studies at the University of Hong Kong.
