Michelle Sullivan, Ph.D., is a Research Associate at the Wellesley Centers for Women at Wellesley College. At WCW, she supports the work of the Family, Sexuality, and Communication Research Initiative.
Specifically, she supports a five-year grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to evaluate the effectiveness of Get Real: Comprehensive Sex Education That Works, a comprehensive sex education program for high school students, as well as a two-year grant from the National Institutes of Health investigating how fathers communicate with their teens about sex and relationships.
In addition to her Ph.D. in Methodology, Measurement, and Analysis, she received her M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with an additional graduate certificate in College and University Counseling. Her research areas include qualitative research with archived data, classroom discourse, identity work/identity development of emerging adults, and LGBTQ+ sexual health.
